A Valentines Message from Orbit Health
Valentine’s Day is known as a holiday celebrating romantic love. But the Orbit Health team recognizes the importance of extending love to our patients in the form of quality care. We hope everyone cherishes their loving relationships during this time and promise to always express our love as a telepsychiatry company through caring service to patients and clients!
We’re officially one month into the new year, and 2024 seems like a distant memory. As healthcare continues to evolve, it’s hard to keep up with all the changes. Indeed, 2025 has already witnessed further consolidation of behavioral health companies, new AI technology, and [unfortunately] natural disasters. The latter development is perhaps the most consequential so far, with the Los Angeles fires highlighting the importance of having nimble telehealth solutions that provide expanded patient access to care.
But with all of these changes and more surely to come, Orbit Health continues our commitment to deliver top-notch telepsychiatry and therapy services to our healthcare partners and their patients despite the challenges. We value your trust more than ever and welcome your feedback.
Update on the LA Fires
When the Los Angeles region was suddenly hit by the Palisades and Eaton Fires in mid-January, none of us were fully aware of just how destructive they would prove. Unfortunately, we now know thousands of people lost their homes, 100,000s were impacted directly or indirectly, and some even perished.
Orbit Health, itself an L.A.-based company, continues to extend thoughts and prayers to everyone affected. We know the tragedy impacts the whole community and promise to do our best to serve our clients and patients during this difficult time–especially the most vulnerable among us.
Please know our telepsychiatry services continue to be available for everyone with a smartphone/device or computer and internet or mobile data service. Orbit Health continues its mission to deliver accessible behavioral healthcare to all, even in challenging circumstances that might otherwise limit in-person care.

Q+A with Lynn Yamada
Lynn is an LCSW with over 18 years of experience and has been a provider with Orbit for the past two years.
1.How long have you been on the Orbit Health team, and what is your role?
I have been with Orbit Health as their Psychotherapy Lead for two years and provide clinical oversight for our therapists. I also develop and refine processes to ensure we are delivering top-quality therapy services. My other functions include onboarding therapists, liaising with our community partners, and responding to patient concerns.
2. Why did you decide to pursue a career in behavioral health?
I wanted to improve the psychological well-being of individuals and society at large. We all have unique experiences, circumstances, and environments that shape us and affect our mental health. And most people either experience some degree of mental health symptoms or have loved ones who are affected by mental illness. However, these challenges are often ignored. Being in this profession allows me to bring mental health to the forefront, instill hope, and empower people to live a higher quality life.
3. What makes you passionate about continuing your work in behavioral health?
I’m committed to removing the stigma surrounding mental health and making behavioral health services more accessible and less intimidating. I believe that strong mental health should be as much a priority as good physical health and believe the two are intertwined. Helping people proactively access care gives me great satisfaction.
4. What do you like most about being on the Orbit Health team?
As the world moves forward with technology, it is important to operate in a mindful, socially conscious way, and Orbit Health’s values ensure we do so. We are a group of curious, collaborative providers aligned to provide quality care in an authentic way. Collectively, we assess our actions, problem solve, work hard, and laugh even harder–all as a team. I truly believe we live our values, and this is critical during uncertain times.
5. Do you have any predictions about the role of telepsychiatry and therapy for 2025?
I foresee increased access to behavioral health in remote regions and isolated communities and an improved ability to provide seamless care that is not limited by time zones or geographic regions. The future of telepsychiatry and therapy is limitless!

Behavioral Health Spotlight
Child and Adolescent Telepsychiatry
Orbit Health is passionate about improving access to care for all communities and patient populations. There are many factors that affect access to care but one of the most common challenges is a lack of qualified providers. Simply put, some communities face provider shortages. This problem is even worse when specialized providers are needed, such as Child & Adolescent psychiatrists.
As a California-based company with a robust team of licensed providers, Orbit Health can support organizations with specialized needs regardless of their location within the state. Whether you’re a Behavioral Health Director for an urban clinic looking to better support your youth population or a Medical Director at a critical care hospital in a desert community, we can provide a licensed Child & Adolescent Telpsychiatrist for real-time support night or day.
